Pre-Employment Investigations:

Since 1966, we have served the Human Resource departments in virtually every industry. Our questioning techniques encourage and enable people to open up to us ... people who are otherwise constrained by policy or personal reasons. We're always fair to the candidate and observe the rules of evidence to confirm serious discrepancies or allegations.

Specializing in pre-employment background checks, we provide our clients the convenience of utilizing our services without the need of a contract, and no minimal usage requirements. We offer several types of reports that can easily be customized to your specifications. This allows our client the ability to choose the appropriate investigation for each applicant.

TYPES OF REPORTS
The Standard Report provides written information within five days.
The Rush Report provides verbal information in 3 working days, followed by a written report.
The 24 Hour Report provides verbal information within 24 hours, also followed by a written report. A premium will be added to the total cost of this report.

Investigations of candidates are conducted on a "lead" basis.
A lead is any one former employer (which includes supervisor interview) education verified, and reference interviewed. The final cost depends upon the number of "leads" requested. There is certain coverage of a candidate's background that should enable one to predict the success or failure of the prospective employee. Candidates in mid-career should have at least three jobs or the last eight years of employment, plus education examined. Younger people require less extensive investigations.

McAward-Shaw & Associates, Inc complies with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. (FCRA), and will follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information reported. We will re-verify at no cost any disputed report when either the user or the subject makes a request in accordance with applicable law. McAward-Shaw will maintain confidentiality of its data acquisition and verification methodology.
